Kushti Bushtea – Organic Rooibos (Redbush)

ROOIBOS, meaning “red bush” in Afrikaans, is a South African plant of the Legume family (Fabaceae, also known as Leguminosae), with bright green, needle-like leaves that turn red after harvesting. This creates a ceffiene-free tea which has a lovely red colour and can be used as a replacement for traditional teas.

Active anti-oxidants found in rooibos are quercetine, luteolin, isoquercetrin and rutin.

Rooibos does not contain caffeine and is low in tannins. It is rich in ascorbic acid and is popular among health-conscious consumers.

Try me cold too, over ice with a splash of lemon….heaven!
