The perfect blend of three black teas, this is our best loved breakfast cuppa as it has good body with a wonderful depth of flavour and is delicious with milk.
The expert judges at Taste of the West had this to say:
AROMA: A fresh, clean, bitter, and earthy aroma, light floral hints detected, it was very pleasant.
APPEARANCE: After 3-4 minute infusion (as suggested) the tea was a deep and rich colour. Clear and bright, good strong colour.
TEXTURE/MOUTHFEEL/FINISH/LENGTH: Smooth, well-rounded mouthfeel, no astringency or harshness (brewed for 3.5 mins). Interestingly it leaves a slightly dry aftertaste but is nicely balanced, fairly long length, distinctive black tea flavour without being overpoweringly bitter.
TASTE: This was a full classic black tea flavour, that tasted like an excellent blend. Smooth and fresh, not overly bitter or too harsh. Perfectly drinkable with or without milk. It was not overly spiced, instead remained fairly neutral and yet still really flavoursome.
